One of the colour variations of Kisii stone. This was primarily an experiment in finishing technique: having learned that some denser materials will naturally become shiny with progessively finer sanding, wanted to see if that would work on this kind of stone. The shape that developed was meant to just be an interesting form not really representing anything other than itself. And left the inner surfaces smooth but unpolished, in contrast with the shinier exterior. A lot of mallet and chisel work, and hours of hand rubbing.
